PLEDGE OF ETHICS & STANDARDS OF CONDUCT
- Confidentiality
- I will respect my client's privacy which means I do
not reveal client names or contact information or the
content of conversations, except as otherwise authorized
by my client, or as required by law.
- Honest & Open
- I will be radically honest and open in sharing my
hunches, insights and perspectives. I am a truth-teller
and encourage the same from my clients.
- Continual Growth
- I strive to be an expert in the field of coaching.
I continually study human potential, leadership, and
the latest coaching methods; as well as continuing my
coaching/life education through attending seminars,
workshops and professional conferences.
- Efficiency
- I deliver my coaching materials electronically to
assure that my clients receive information quickly and
easily.
- Dependability
- I will be on time and consciously present for coaching
sessions. I allow enough time between my sessions so
that I am fresh and renewed for each call.
- Respect
- I believe that my clients deliver their best and respect
and honor their efforts. They are creative, resourceful,
and whole; and an expert in their own life.
- Effectiveness
- I will be alert to noticing when my client is no longer
benefiting from our coaching relationship and would
be better served by another coach or other resource
(including therapy) and will encourage my client to
make that change.
- Resources
- I will suggest books, articles, workshops and seminars
that I believe will benefit my client's personal and
business growth and success.
- Constructive Language
- I will only use constructive language and will not
use criticism as a motivational technique.
- Client's Ownership
-- I will create the space for my client's coming up
with their own solutions guided by the insights and
discoveries I share. I realize I am a catalyst and conduit
for change and that the client is the one who does the
real work.
