YOUNG & PROFESSIONAL

Young & Professional is
a career and life-coaching program for twenty somethings who have
completed their formal education, are working and want assistance
in redefining a career path.
Many young people haven't settled into a comfortable work pattern
and may feel they are floundering and stuck. They want to explore
other career possibilities and do something more meaningful.
This program provides comprehensive discovery questions, online
assessments and coaching that assists you in learning more about
who you are so you can effectively research best-fit career opportunities.
It helps you develop the essential work, people, and leadership
skills employers look for and includes interview preparation and
personalized life coaching guidance and support.
Young people are asking: Who am I? Where am I going? What's
important to me? What am I best at? How can I contribute?
This program will help answer these important life questions.
Parents and grandparents see the challenges and uncertainty facing
young people today. By funding this program, they are investing
in their children's or grandchildren's future. They often remark,
"I wish I'd had this kind of information when I was young.
I could have saved a lot of time, money and effort."
The Young Professional program also features personal branding and the development of a Brand-YOU! Profile.™ Starbucks and Target are well-known brands – we have an image of who they are and what to expect when we choose to be a patron. Have you ever considered what your teachers, professors, bosses, co-workers, peers, friends and family think of you when your name is mentioned? Your brand is your operative reputation and impacts your ability to be successful; it either supports or derails your academic and career success.
Your Brand-YOU! Profile™ must demonstrate what employers want you to have. According to 10 Things Employers Want You to Learn in College, author Bill Coplin says you must have mastered the following skill-sets:
- Work Ethic
- Physical Performance
- Speaking
- Writing
- Teamwork
|
- Influencing People
- Research
- Number Crunching
- Critical Thinking
- Problem Solving
|
How would you rate yourself in these areas? What areas do you need to improve?
“Cindy has been an incredible life coach for me,
as I went from a college graduate with no clear direction to someone
with set goals and expectations. She helped me identify
my strengths, motivations and goals in a way that gave me a huge
competitive edge over other people my age. Her work with me has
paid off in ways that I could never have imagined.”
Matt Logan, Greensboro,

“I’m in my mid-20s and wish that I knew about Cindy when I was in high school and college; things would have been a lot clearer for me coming out of college with a career path figured out. If you’re thinking, ‘well, I’ll just go to my college career counselor for free’ think again. They don’t have the time or resources compared to what Cindy can do for you. The in-depth assessments, one-on-one coaching, advice, feedback, articles, books, and motivation helped me figure out who I was – my true strengths, gifts and talents which resulted in the confidence to go after a job that suited me perfectly. The best words you can hear are… ‘When can you start?’… I start my new job this week!”

PROGRAM ASSESSMENTS
Clarifying your innate
abilities, personality preferences, interests, and values through
assessments makes it much easier to evaluate career choices. These
instruments do not pigeon hole or place you in a box. They provide
critical information to help you get clear on who you are; most

report high assessment accuracy.
The Highlands Ability Battery is considered a
foundational assessment that measures innate abilities. It provides
young people critical information in planning for a successful
career and life; it can only be administered by a certified Highlands
affiliate.
This program offers a variety of assessments. Together, we can
determine which ones are right for you.
